If I write a review about a place, I’m either really impressed or really disappointed! Let me first start by saying I found this restaurant from Tik Tok! Staying in the city can be tricky because some of the food is not that good and the prices are ridiculous for subpar food! When I first walked in, I noticed the restaurant was clean and the aroma smelled of fresh Jamaican spices and cuisine. I noticed the menu was simple but it had all of my favorites so it was easy to make a choice. Tuesday was fish day so I ordered the fresh caught whiting (no bones) rice/peas, cabbage, and plantain. I enjoyed the smell so much I decided to I wanted to eat in. When I say the food was delicious and tasted clean! I was very impressed! I could tell the food was prepared in a clean kitchen and fresh ingredients were used! Yvonne the restaurant owner was a sweet heart! You can tell she takes pride in her food and her restaurant! Elmer, her supporting staff was very well mannered and did a great job with assisting her with the orders. I noticed many people call in to order the fish!Probably because the Chef is amazing in the kitchen! If you’re looking for well seasoned with not salty food! Check them out! It’s gluten free! They also have 10.00 lunch specials! All in all my experience was a 10/10! My meal consisted of Whiting w/ steamed peppers and onions Rice and peas Plantain Cabbage Veggie patties ( so delicious) Rum punch Jamaican cocoa Drinks were so good! Check this place out if your in the area!

Amazing vegan options with great energy. The lentil and curry, beans and rice, and the plantains were all wonderfully seasoned. I couldn’t get enough of the plantains! It’s a small little restaurant with a lot of passion from the entire restaurant family.

If you're looking for a real authentic Jamaican dish then this is the place. From the atmosphere to the food everything was really great. The only downside is that it's off the main so it's hard to find but it's worth the travel and money. The food was so good I ordered two plates of food, I would definitely go back anytime I'm in New York.

Homemade, beef patties, Mac and cheese, jerk chicken, and fish???? Hands down the best beef patty I’ve ever had. I grew up in queens back when every pizza shop and bodega had beef patties.. then one day they disappeared and they are so hard to find. This place is a gem. The staff is so nice and sweet. Try the homemade Jamaican hot chocolate.

Petit, unique, different. Ms. Yvonne aims to please and the food is great. Need some hot Jamaican chocolate tea....to warm up your tummy you can have that here......I love her aluminum serving plates.....so nostalgic......on the East side of New York city, or make a trip from the West for real authentic Jamaican food.

This place absolutely slaps. Maybe I'm not the best judge for Jamaican food, but some of the best I've ever had. This place feels so authentic to the point it manages to make me feel as if I'm eating the most delicious home cooked meal. Ingredients tasted super fresh as well. Service was very friendly as well If I'm in the area this would likely be my first choices to eat at.
